Let us take care of you

We believe that nobody is the same, meaning that during our consultation and examination we will determine the best ways to treat the individual needs of your condition. This way, we can ensure that you get the care and attention you need to look your best.

The first step of our service is the consultation. We will discuss all your symptoms and conditions in a private room, face-to-face with the doctor only. We will talk about the nature and the duration of your symptoms, about the frequency of your bowel habit, about your diet, your bowel habits and family history.

The second step is the examination. During this, the doctor will inspect the area and later perform a digital rectal examination. Once that is completed, a 5 cm long rectal tube (called proctoscopy) will be inserted, and this will allow to see internal anal area. You will be asked to cough or push during this, hence the internal piles will show up.

The third step is the treatment. Depending on your diagnosis, internal and external haemorrhoids can be treated in a variety of specialised ways. Generally, we recommend the internal piles banded (to apply a small rubber band), which cuts the blood supply off, then the piles will fall in a few days' time. The external piles, skin tag require surgical removal, under local anaesthetic.
